Turning a Great Product into Scroll-Stopping Content
Morrissey Market Content Shoot
Client
Morrissey Market – a Boston-based, family-founded online grocery delivering restaurant-quality, locally sourced food while supporting community food access and nutrition.
Project Overview
Morrissey Market had little to no usable photography for its website, social media, email marketing, or print materials. Existing visuals did not reflect the quality of the food, the care behind the sourcing, or the brand’s community-driven story.
The challenge was to quickly produce a large volume of high-quality content—while coordinating talent, logistics, and product availability—so the brand could confidently show up across all channels.
The Strategy
With prior experience in hospitality and restaurant environments, I approached the project with a production-first mindset. Key strategic decisions included:
Hiring the right photographer and food stylist with experience shooting fresh food and real products
Creating a detailed, curated shot list to maximize efficiency and output
Coordinating closely with the client to ensure all products were available and shoot-ready
Goal
To create a high-quality, versatile photography library that Morrissey Market could use across all marketing channels.
Role
Senior Graphic Designer · Content & Production Lead
I researched and vetted multiple New England–based photographers, ultimately selecting the best fit for the brand. I also sourced and hired a food stylist from Maine to elevate the visual quality of the products.
From there, I:
Led photographer and stylist selection and onboarding
Built a comprehensive shot list aligned with Morrissey Market’s marketing needs
Coordinated props, styling direction, and product availability
Managed on-site production during the multi-day shoot in Boston
Results
The client was extremely happy with the final photography and the depth of content captured. The assets were immediately used across the website, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
As a direct result of the successful shoot, Morrissey Market continued working with the same photographer for future projects—creating a lasting vendor relationship and an ongoing resource for the brand.
Key Takeaways
This project highlights my ability to lead complex, on-location content productions—especially in food and hospitality spaces. By combining industry experience with strong organization and collaboration, I helped turn a visual gap into a long-term marketing asset for the client.
